Had my stimulation check today. My estradiol level is low - 20 (they wanted to see under 50 - yay!). They counted 17 follicles on my right ovary and 11 on my left ovary (which was hiding by the way for reasons unknown). That is a great count :) Follicles are what holds eggs so I have the potential for that many eggs (28) - now we have to see how they develop - they can only use the mature excellent or great quality ones. I'm really hoping all goes well!!
I start my stimulation drugs (225 units) on Thursday 2/22 and decrease my lupron injections to 5 units. My DH and I also start are antibiotics twice a day on 2/22 until the retrieval. The estimated first date possible for my retrieval is Saturday 3/3 ...the latest 3/7. I'm hoping 3/3 or 3/4 that way it can be done on the weekend. I'll settle for 3/5 though :) Insemination will be 3 days after the retrieval.
Starting Saturday (2/25) until my retrieval i will go in for daily ultrasounds and blood work. Fun! :( You do what you gotta do though! I hope I respond well! Wish me luck!!!
