Today I start my stims!
I dropped my dose to .5 of Lupron this morning and tonight I get to give myself my first injection of follistim (225 units). I'm sure it will be just as easy as the lupron injections I have been getting. I wont be nervous until i have to do my progesterone shots. I'm going to call my dr's office and see who the doc on call next weekend is just in case I get to do my retrieval saturday or sunday. I'm looking forward to my first stimulation ultrasound this sunday! I cant wait. I think the week will fly by next week or i HOPE!!

hey Jody! that's great news that you are already starting stims! you'll do fine with the injections based on how easily you took the lupron. just wanted to let you know that i am on day #2 of the progesterone injections and they aren't half as bad as i thought they would be! my doc ended up giving me a shorter needle too (the 1 inch) which makes it much easier. if you are smaller, they are cool with that size. :-)

Stacy - I am using the 1" needle too cuz I am tiny too. So how did the retrieval/insemination go?? I'll have to email you!
we are doing IVF, so we had our egg retrieval on Tuesday. it was easy! (i always think of it as a "nice sleep"). we retrieved 15 eggs - which was much more than we anticipated! 12 of those 15 were mature...and 9 of the 12 fertilized. we do the embryo transfer tomorrow at 12noon!! i'm so nervous, but so excited too!
