A few pics of Carter before school this morning!

Mommy is working from home so she got to see him leave for school today! It was soo much fun until he had to leave :( Here are a few snaps I got of him. What's going on with Carter lately? He has been introduced to www.sesamestreet.org by a friend of ours and now all he wants to do is play "da bus" game. Any time he comes into the office he shouts "bus bus".. and grabs the mouse :) Too cute! He also loves his "pyder" song (itsy bitsy spider) and loves to say "see! see! see!" and point. I just want to squeeze him! Until later...

Carter, the cat and the cheese

Well I experienced something so funny I had to share it today. Carter likes velveeta cheese slices so as we were laying around the living room like sick bums I gave him a slice to eat. Well the cat also likes cheese. So Carter offered Max the kitty cat a piece of his cheese by well..shoving it in his face. So I told Carter, no you just lay it in front of him and see if he will eat it. So Carter did and Max ate it! Well the next thing you know Carter slings himself on the ground crying that Max ate his cheese. HAHAHH I guess he didnt actually think the cat would eat it? Ha! He even tried to tell Max to "give it back".. HA~ I just had to share!! LOL.

Carter finally has his somersault down. He has tried for weeks to perfect it. AHAHAHHA!! And as an added bonus you get to hear my voice..YOWZERs!! Manly much? I wish I had my voice back!!!

AAaachooo Mama...

That is what carter says to me when I sneeze...and boy have we been sneezing a lot the last few days. When he sneezes I always say Bless you Baby and when I sneeze he says Achooo mama...Too cute!! It is like he is blessing me in his own little kid way :)

Daddy just got home from a night out with friends. Mommy was too sick to join in the fun but Daddy seemed to have a great time. Dare I say too great? No fun for sick mama to be tending to hungover dadda. LOL. I have no voice so I can't even yell what were you thinking ;) HA HA!!

Carter is driving his cars all over the front of our tv. Oh joy! That TV has been through a lot of torture in the last year. Carter smacks it, drives his cars on it and there are countless piggy prints from his little hands all over it.

Speaking of Cars Carter got a little Cars 2 piece patio set for our patio. It is TOO cute and it was on clearance so it is ours! He just needs to have a few play dates when mommy isnt so busy and have a friend over for a little snack! Mommy is hoping when Daddy wakes up from his morning nap that he will put together her patio set that we have had no time to put together yet. Wish me a lot of luck on that one.

The two sickies..

Well both Carter and I are still sick with what I am guessing is severe cold. It stinks!! Both are coughing and with runny noses..I have no voice left (probably from clearing my throat/coughing). Boo! So Carter is home from school today with me. I hate getting sick because I get even further behind on my work! :( Carter is currently watching Sid the Science Kid on tv. Such a cute show! Nothing else really going on here. I am promising myself to update this blog when I can so here it is! And a cutie pie flashback pic from a LONG time ago :(

Whoahhh all i can say is I'm lame... :)

I have not been keeping up my mommy duties by telling the world about my WONDERFUL beautiful absolutely love of my life son! :P So here I am back again only a few months later. Oops! Since i have a few minutes (not) I will give you an update on Carter. Yesterday carter and I were riding in the car and I said to him "carter what's your favorite song?" .. I didnt expect him to answer me but he did! He blurted out "Pyyyyyddder"..(that is what he calls the itsy bitsy spider song). So I said "do you want to sing it?" and he said "uh huh".. so I started and he was like "nooooo".. he wanted me to talk out the song and not sing it (guess he's not too fond of my singing voice? LOL! Regardless it was a cute moment!

Right now we are both sick with a tinge of what I think is the flu :( boo! Once they start getting mobile and in daycare you get so much more than you bargained for. You would think as an adult I would be immune to some of this stuff -but nope! Sick as a dog just like him.

Carter is VERY mobile now. Does not like to sit in his high chair or grocery carts for long and needs strapped in. Which he calls "stuck". Ha! He loves CARS! The movie and the toys :) He loves loves tractors and daddy's lawnmower which he calls "monmower" -too cute! He thinks everyone in a white truck is daddy. He thinks anyone towing anything is a tractor. He thinks anything round is a ball. Especially outside of Target. Those big red balls drive him nuts. Ha Ha!

He loves his mommy and daddy. He will point to each of us and say mommy, daddy and carter. I love this especially :)

Football season is upon us and daddy has already requested we find carter a jersey. Pic of that coming soon. No really! ;)

And so i leave you with our big boy! Whoah where has the time gone. Am I the only mommmy who looks at their "baby" and tears up that the days are going way too fast?

World's Worst Blogger...

I have had zippo time to update my little Carter poo's blog and I feel so badly about it! Good thing I have good girlfriends to make me feel worse ;) HAHAH just kidding girls! Carter is a MESS. I again love this stage more than any other. I am saying that at every stage though it seems. He is just such a wonderful blessing and I feel so honored to be his Mommy. Which by the way he is finally saying. Pay no mind that he also calls the lawnmower mommy OR they both sound exactly the same. But I digress. I am having so much fun with my little monkey at 18 months. He is talking and babbling like he knows exactly what he is saying -we are just clueless. He is shaking his head yes and no. Pulling at his diaper when he goes potty (uh oh!). Throwing objects at a great velocity towards mommy's face (not meaning to hurt)...just showing that he is on his way to the big leagues :) Here is a pic from today when we were playing in the yard. It is QUITE rare to get eye contact with a mommy-tographer but I achieved it! I promise to be less busy and keep updating this blog. If I keep saying that to myself will it work?

Carter at 16 months

Time sure has flown by and my little baby is now an incredible fun little boy. We honestly could not ask for a better son. He is so good and just makes us laugh each and every day. He has learned so much . He can really distinguish between things now -although everything round is a ball! Even round bumper stickers on the back of cars. He loves almost every food - mostly vegetables!! He still doesnt like to say mommy??? He loves saying daddy though and loves to try to talk and wants me to understand him. :) He likes putting shapes into his shape sorter and gets frustrated when he gets one wrong. He likes to spoon feed himself (with a little guidance from mommy and daddy). He will say hello and put his hand up to his ear anytime he hears a phone ring. He LOVES patty cake and rolls em so cute -see video below. He waves bye bye with a floppy wrist :) He loves his kitty cat max (who by the way is in the only kitty who will tolerate him out of our 3!). He loves being outside and running around, swings, the slide. He gives nice open mouth wet slobbery kisses. He immitates and sometimes when we are in public at inconvenient moments :) He likes pancakes and peaches for breakfast. Drinks like a pro out of his sippy cup - oftentimes drinking it from the wrong side. He is great when we got out to dinner and loves trying new foods - and loves throwing them on the floor.

I'm so happy I got called out so I could make time to update this blog!!
