Someone from a message board I frequent alerted me to this but Oprah had a very heart-breaking show on yesterday. I missed the show but went on to oprah.com and checked out the story. It was about the mother who left her baby in the car all day in 100+ temps when she was at work because she was so overwhelmed with everything going on her life she just forgot about her. It was a devestating and totally heartbreaking story and I can never imagine what anguish this mother has gone through.
I know all of us take on a lot and sometimes get frazzled - this could easily happen to us. Someone else suggested that you always put your purse in teh backseat with the child - that way when you go get your purse you get your child too. I think that is an outstanding idea. I just thought I would share with all of you out there. I plan on doing that myself. Now what can we tell the husbands and fathers to keep in the backseat? Any suggestions ladies?

It can happen to anyone. So truly heartbreaking. The purse is a great idea. Maybe guys can leave their briefcases or their coats (in the winter) ...
